You can permanently delete your Qlub account and the personal data attached to it at any time. Deleting your account is immediate and cannot be undone — there is no grace period and no way for us to restore it afterwards.
1. Delete your account in the app
This is the fastest way, and it takes effect straight away.
- Open the QLUB app and sign in.
- Tap the menu icon, then tap your name and photo at the top. (You can also tap your photo on the Compass tab.)
- Scroll to the bottom of the account panel and tap Delete account, shown in red.
- Type delete to confirm.
- Tap Delete permanently.
Your account and the data listed below are removed as soon as you confirm, and you are signed out.
2. No longer have the app? Request deletion by email
If you have uninstalled QLUB or cannot sign in, you do not need to reinstall it. Email support@qlubapp.com with the subject Delete my Qlub account.
What to include
- Send the request from the email address you signed up with, if you still have access to it.
- Your Qlub @handle or display name, if you remember it.
We verify that you control the account before deleting anything, so we may write back to confirm — particularly if the request arrives from a different address. We action verified requests within 30 days, usually much sooner, and email you when it is done.
3. What we delete
- Your login and every profile (persona) on the account: display name, @handle, bio, pronouns, gender, age, home location, and your profile, cover and gallery photos.
- Content you created — events, groups, hangouts, trips and board posts — together with their group chats and the RSVPs, invitations and memberships attached to them.
- Photos you contributed to venues and Spots, including the image files themselves, and any contributed photo still awaiting a safety check.
- Your activity: RSVPs, group memberships, follows, waves, blocks, likes and saves, check-ins, ratings and reviews you wrote, and reports you filed.
- Your claim requests and any photo-ID documents you uploaded to verify a business.
- Your messaging account: your messaging profile, your membership of every conversation, your reactions, notifications, push tokens, and the encryption keys registered to your device.
4. What stays, and why
- Venue listings and Spots you claimed or added are not deleted. They are shared reference data that other people rely on, so they are released back to the community as unclaimed. Your ownership, your claim and any verification badge are removed with your account.
- A group that has another admin is handed to its longest-serving admin rather than deleted, so the community and its chat survive. A group with no other admin is deleted.
- Messages you sent in group chats remain in the other participants’ conversations, no longer linked to your account. Direct messages are end-to-end encrypted, so we cannot read them at any point; the keys registered to your device are deleted with your account.
- A photo a venue owner has adopted as that venue’s own cover image stays with the venue.
- Records we are required to keep — limited data retained to comply with law, resolve disputes, or prevent fraud and abuse, plus safety and moderation logs. Backups are retained for a limited period on their normal cycle and then deleted.
5. Delete some data without deleting your account
You do not have to close your account to remove something you posted. In the app menu, open My Items to delete any individual event, group, hangout, trip, Spot or board post you created. To have specific content removed for you, email support@qlubapp.com.
